You Ain't Never Had a Friend Like (Walk)Me...
No matter how good you are with Salesforce, there are some things you can NEVER do without a DAP like WalkMe™.
Some teams that are really swift with Salesforce think they don't need WalkMe:
They've got the DevOps humming.
They use Flows and automate actions.
They input field-level help.
They say, "Why use a DAP? Everyone loves Salesforce! We got this!"
OK, great. Keep up the good work.
AND ... Here in the real world, there are a number of things that DAPs can do that Salesforce on its own will NEVER be able to do.
Here's a real example from one of my clients: Client has a CPQ system for their products. It's not in Salesforce. (Could it be in Salesforce some day? Sure! How much money and time do you have? But we're not there right now.)
So, it's a separate URL, separate app, with no plans to integrate. Now, we want people to use that software in a certain way relative to Salesforce.
Salesforce, on its own, cannot achieve this.
The CPQ app, on its own, cannot achieve this.
An API integration between the two systems, on its own, cannot achieve this.
WalkMe can achieve this.
WalkMe bridges the gap between the two applications.
WalkMe monitors and guides the user behavior between the two systems. WalkMe is the friend that says, "Oh... are you trying to do this? Let me show you what we need to do in Salesforce first."
THEN, everyone can love Salesforce.
Cross-Application Walk-Thrus
When we've deployed WalkMe via the Extension, it's in the browser at the GUI level for all employees.
This enables it to seamlessly guide a user from one application to the next.
We just employ Walk-Thrus in two different systems, some cross-system WalkMe Data.. Let me know if you need help with this.
