Mistake #10: Not Pushing Their Orgs to Spread and Adopt the Technology

What I often see is WalkMe builders “just doing their job” and responding to requests.

Someone else bought it, someone else will decide what to do with it next.

NO!

Entropy is a law of the universe.

Similarly, all IT Projects / change efforts / software systems in your organization are either gaining strength or weakening.

If you don’t spread WalkMe, folks in your organization may learn of DAP on their own and seek out a vendor.

Did you know if you go to the “Digital Adoption Platform” category on G2, there are now over EIGHTY listings.  That’s right, eight-zero listings.

Since every application has similar challenges, the odds are that if you’re not actively promoting WalkMe, someone in your organization is going to hear about a different one of these, bring in the vendor, start having meetings, fall in love with the demo they saw…

Then someone in IT will say “Wait, don’t we already have one of those?” and it will cause a big mess, debate, and hassle for you to deal with.

We don’t have time for that.

Here’s the process I recommend:

WalkMe builders need to advocate for WalkMe and attempt to spread it in their organization.

  • Record videos of your solutions
  • Put these on a company internal Sharepoint or Confluence page
  • Link to this in your email signature
  • Schedule lunch sessions with your peers
  • Hear of a new IT system being purchased?  Go talk to them!

If you advocate for WalkMe, you can solve more problems, benefit your organization more, increase your visibility and value to your own organization.

FAR BETTER for you to be the messenger for your organization.

Or does this make you think of anything you need to check on?

Any corrective actions to put in place?
