Three Ways to Fix Your Forms with WalkMe SmartTips

smarttips

Are you always answering the same questions for your Salesforce users?

Do your fields not get filled out the way they’re “supposed to”?

Would you like to streamline the UI but your requests never get priority with your IT team / folks who manage Salesforce?

Here are three ways we can deploy WalkMe™ SmartTips to make your life easier:

1 – Context

Adding additional context to a particular field such as what a field means or where the data comes from. Next to the field or when a user clicks in. Example: “This data is auto-populated from the ABC integration” or “Supplier ID is also known as Vendor # in the other system”.

2 – Encourage completion –

Highlight if empty but allow to proceed, explaining implications of leaving field empty. “You don’t have to enter Opportunity Amount now, but you will at the later stage otherwise the XYZ reports won’t work”.

3 – Data validation –

You can’t proceed until this field is completed. Highlight red, maybe block saving? Be careful, these should be used sparingly.

Is it reasonable that someone has this information now? Is it critical that it be filled in? What happens if it’s not filled in? Garbage in, garbage out…

Depending on your process maturity, it may be better to have the field left blank but have the discussion as to why we don’t have the answer now.

BONUS - New 4th Way: AI SmartTips

WalkMe just recently released and awesome new AI powered option for open text data entry.

These are tricky fields to validate.  You don't want to leave it blank.  But a single character doesn't cut it either.  So now with WalkMe AI SmartTips, we can use AI to describe what makes a good answer and nudge the user towards that goal.
